When you move out of a rental, the #1 problem when getting back your depsoit belive it or not is pet stains!
In today's post Portlands Move In Move Out Cleaning Expert Joshua shows us how to remove pet stains from carpet.
Let's face it, most of us have been here before. You're in the kitchen getting dinner ready. The kids are playing with the dog in the living room. They're running around and playing tag with the dog. All of a sudden everything get's quiet and you here your kids start laughing and telling Cooper (the dog) to stop!
You drop everything you're doing and run out there as fast as you can, but it's too late. Coop already did his business and now he's looking up at you, tail between his legs and those eyes.
You can't be mad at him. They were all having a good time, but now you've got to deal with cleaning this up and hoping it doesn't stain the carpets.
Don't worry. We've got you covered. Check out these tips to remove those pet stains from your carpet.
Supply List
Towel
Bacteria/Enzyme Digester
Plastic Wrap
Vinegar
Water
What to Do
First use the towel over the area to absorb as much liquid as you can. You can step on the towel so you don't have to touch it.
Next you'll need to follow the steps on the bacteria digester bottle. This will help with the stain and the smells. Make sure to apply the digester for the correct amount of time.
After you put the digester on the stains go ahead and put plastic over it. Step on it or pat it down until it's in there really good. Leave the plastic on while the digester is working.
To really get rid of the odor, mix one cup vinegar to one gallon of warm water. Rinse the area with the solution and re-apply the enzyme digester.
Conclusion
And that's it! Now that you've gotten that taken care of it's time to sign Cooper up for some potty training classes! But really though, it never hurts to keep some digester and vinegar around the house, especially when you have pets.
